Waiting For Their Turn To Come Out To Play

So who's turn is it now? Puppies are ready to venture out for a romp in the deep snow. It was beyond cute... could hardly see them in the 18 inches of fresh snow we just received. Oh, did they have fun though.

AN ANGELIC TAIL

When Papa was alive (known to most folk as Sasquatch), he was my canine soulmate. We knew each well, bonded and committed to one another. It was rare for either of us to be seen without the other. It was a marriage of the hearts, a joy of togetherness forever, on this earth and beyond.

I saw quite quickly that Tonka, Papa's boy, possessed his Papa's skill of reading me well, nurturing my soul and elevating my spirit. No matter where I roamed in the dogyard, I could turn my head to find Tonka gazing at me. Since being a pup, he had always wanted to be with me, paying great attention to me before running off to play..... even during those times when he could be terribly stubborn!

I have always called him "my angel in a fur coat". I came to recognize that each one of my dogs are indeed, angels in fur coats. This does not mean they are angelic every minute of the day (if only!), but simply, that they are loving souls, so giving of their unconditional love. In me they trust. We have since lost Tonka . He recently walked over the rainbow bridge. He is now truly 'an angel in a fur coat'.
