Pretty Pear
One of my most favorite photos of Pear. She radiates such joy! Love her to little pieces. Her coat is unusual, her eye color is unique and so is she. She is slowly making her way to the front of the team and I have no doubt that's where she'll stay!
When Papa was alive (known to most folk as Sasquatch), he was my canine soulmate. We knew each well, bonded and committed to one another. It was rare for either of us to be seen without the other. It was a marriage of the hearts, a joy of togetherness forever, on this earth and beyond.
I saw quite quickly that Tonka, Papa's boy, possessed his Papa's skill of reading me well, nurturing my soul and elevating my spirit. No matter where I roam in the dogyard, I can turn my head to find Tonka gazing at me. Since being a pup, he has always wanted to be with me, paying great attention to me before running off to play..... even during those times when he can be terribly stubborn!
I have always called him "my angel in a fur coat". I have since come to recognize that each one of my dogs are indeed, angels in fur coats. This does not mean they are angelic every minute of the day (if only!), but simply, that they are loving souls, so giving of their unconditional love. In me they trust.
They are the keepers of my heart... truly my
